I hate doing this, but I need to get it out of me. Being USAs top hat is like sleeping with a elephant with a shitty mattress, we feel everything the USA does. Right now that is not, Trump seems very anti-free trade. With NAFTA I’m worries, NAFTA is big for us. We trade lots of shit with each other.
Also on the Bright side our dollar might bounce back with the stock markets running around like chickens without heads. I also think it force NATO allies contribute equally, instead of piggy backing the USA. Thats all, I did not want to make you read another political novel on here.

Dollar not doing so great this morning. I feel like the NAFTA changes will be a lot more in Mexico but who knows. Too early to tell.

he can’t unilaterally end NAFTA or even “re-negotiate it.” NAFTA has to be enacted, altered, or ended by legislation, which by the Constitution has to emerge from the House of Representatives. And the GOP core is too pro-business to want to end NAFTA.

Has Trump even acknowledged Canada’s existence? He just bangs on about Mexico and China.

NAFTA doesn’t do as much for Canada as it does for Mexico. Most of Canada-US trade was already tariff free before NAFTA went into effect.

I don’t think we’ll stop trading with either of the NAFTA countries anytime soon. What I do think you’ll see is a push to incentivize american based corporations to move manufacturing jobs back to the US, but that will take a long time to make any significant changes.

I don’t think Americans really get that their largest trading partner is Canada. I mean, sure there are polite arguments about timber in BC and Washington State from time to time, but usually we work pretty well together.
It’s scary that Americans don’t even realise how much of a world actually exists outside their own country.
So because I didn’t want to watch the dumpster fire last night, I went and practiced on the organ at church while wearing a hockey sweater (Bonus: I didn’t watch the dumpster fire that was LAK vs TOR).
I got a few funny looks from the poll workers (since I got there before the polls closed)
